Notorious young British artist of the 1990s whose most celebrated works
feature animals preserved in formaldehyde. Mother and Child Divided
consists of the severed halves of a cow and a calf while The Physical
Impossibility of Death in the Mind of Someone Living is made
from a shark. Hirst has also collaborated with comedian Keith Allen as
Fat Les on a silly pop song celebrating the English national football
team.
