Argentine poet, essayist, and short story writer whose highly crafted
works have become classics of 20th century world literature. Some of his
best known fictions are The Garden of the Forking Paths, Pierre
Menard, Author of the Quixote and Tlon, Uqbar, Orbis Tertius,
Borges's vision is shaped by a lyrical attention to dream, memory and
literary paradox.
